... Lake Wind Advisory in effect from 9 am this morning to 6 PM CST this afternoon... The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a lake Wind Advisory... which is in effect from 9 am this morning to 6 PM CST this afternoon. West winds of 15 to 25 mph can be expected on area lakes and waterways today. A lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to capsizing.

... National Weather Service survey team will investigate storm damage in northeast Alabama today...
With damage reported in Calhoun County and possibly a few other counties in northeast Alabama... a National Weather Service assessment team will be on site later this morning to survey these areas. Information gathered from the survey will conveyed in public information statements as quickly as possible.
